According to a study, mobile working and working from home are very important for job satisfaction: almost half of office workers surveyed (47 percent) in Germany would quit if their employer abolished or severely limited these options.
This is evident from a survey among more than 2,000 employees by the YouGov Institute on behalf of Continental, the car supplier announced.
At the same time, a combination of home office and office presence is the optimal model for the majority of employees. 62 percent of respondents indicated that it would be optimal to spend half of their weekly working time or more in the office. For 19 percent, four or even five days of working from home or working mobile would be the optimal option.
39 percent appreciate the time savings of mobile working because you don’t have to travel, 37 percent see a better work-life balance or flexibility as the biggest advantage, and 17 percent see concentrated work in the home office. When working face-to-face, a small majority (47 percent) also attaches the most value to social interaction; better separation between work and private life and more efficient teamwork are also mentioned.
