In the seaside resort of Lignano on the Italian Adriatic Sea, you pay between 21 and 23 euros for a single day at the beach – for two deck chairs in the first three rows. Complete extortion, many people think and stay home. But even at Lake Neusiedl, the Vienna Sea, you are not given anything for free.
One thing in advance: if you want to save your wallet, you should not only go into nature, but also compare the costs in advance, because the prices in the bathing resorts around the 320 m² Burgenland-Hungarian steppe lake vary enormously. The “Krone” sent a fictitious family of four, consisting of mother, father, a primary school child and a teenager, swimming – and discovered: the price differences are enormous and amount to more than 30 euros!
