“Crown”: The dispute between the three banks is over, you have prevailed. Your conclusion after many years?
Franz Gasselsberger: My predecessor was CEO for 30 years, I have been doing this for 23 years. In 1984, my predecessor became independent with the sister banks, until then we were dominated by the Creditanstalt. With the termination of the syndicate contracts, the golden age of the three banks began. We said yes, we would celebrate 40 years of independence on June 22, 2024, and on June 17, 2024, UniCredit withdrew all lawsuits. Independence was renewed. With that, I have achieved my most important professional goal in life.
