Deal now resolved – Pierer and Mateschitz: majority in Rosenbauer

Date:

Now the investment company around KTM boss Stefan Pierer, Red Bull heir Mark Mateschitz and Raiffeisen Oberösterreich are doing their thing at Rosenbauer! After it was announced a month and a half ago that the company Robau they founded would get a third of the shares, it is now clear: they will take the majority!

There has been speculation for weeks that the company Robau, founded by Stefan Pierer, Mark Mateschitz and two Raiffeisen Upper Austrian companies, would not be satisfied with a third of the shares in Rosenbauer. But it has only been official since Thursday morning: Robau Beteiligungsverwaltung GmbH, Robau for short, has signed agreements to acquire a majority stake in Rosenbauer International.

In concrete terms, this means that Robau will acquire a 25.15 percent share package in Rosenbauer Beteiligungsverwaltung GmbH and thus from the representatives of the founding family. After the takeover of the first share package and the purchase of shares in Rosenbauer Beteiligungsverwaltung GmbH, Robau will then own 50.1 percent of the world’s largest fire apparatus company.

Authorities at their word
But the authorities are still speaking: the planned deal requires so-called merger control approvals inside and outside Europe. After the takeover has been approved by the responsible authorities in the fourth quarter of 2024, the replacement of the capital representatives on the supervisory board of the company operating from Leonding is planned. Subject to election by the general meeting, Stefan Pierer, Mark Mateschitz, Friedrich Roithner and Gernot Hofer will join the committee.

Robau says the share transactions create the conditions for Rosenbauer’s return to success and the long-term security of its headquarters in Austria.
