Boom helps FACC – the boarding is not over yet: Up to 200 free jobs

Date:

By 2043, more than 42,000 new passenger aircraft will be delivered to meet the demand for aircraft with lower emissions and the increasing demand for air travel! A company from Upper Austria is also benefiting from this development: supplier FACC increased its turnover to 438.8 million euros in the first half of the year alone.

“Demand is currently enormous, especially for short-haul and business jets,” said Robert Machtlinger, CEO of aircraft supplier FACC, who presented his figures for the first half of 2024 on Wednesday.

And they reported an increase in turnover to 438.8 million euros. The operating result increased in the first six months of the year to 22.5 million euros. The result after taxes and interest was 9.5 million euros.

Airbus, Boeing, Rolls Royce and many more are supplied
The company, which operates from the Innviertel, benefits from a broad customer base of aircraft and engine manufacturers: Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Comac, Embraer, Pratt & Whitney and Rolls Royce are supplied by FACC.

There is also more demand for the Chinese model
The Chinese model Comac C919, which will be approved for flight operations in 2023, is also becoming increasingly important, reveals the company, which took on 265 employees in the first half of the year. And the boarding is not over yet: we are still looking for between 150 and 200 employees. They should be hired by the end of the year.

Factory in Croatia plays an important role
At the same time, however, it is noticeable that at the new plant in Jakovlje, Croatia, not only the production space for cabin interior components was greatly expanded, but also capacity was created for services intended to support the administration in Austria.

The reasons for this? The FACC says that the attractive cost structures are attractive. The company led by Machtlinger therefore committed itself to additional cost reductions and efficiency improvements despite full order books in order to continue to score points in the global competition.
