From Wednesday, the Nutella nut nougat cream is also available in a vegan version. Milk powder has been eliminated and chickpeas and rice syrup have been added. There should be no “compromises” or losses in terms of taste.
Manufacturer Ferrero announced Tuesday that sales would initially start in several European countries: Italy, France and Belgium. There are “no compromises” when it comes to taste, the company assured.
It is not yet known whether a market launch in Austria is also planned in the near future.
“Today, more and more consumers are choosing to reduce or avoid animal products, whether for dietary or lifestyle reasons,” the report said.
However, people with a milk protein allergy still cannot eat the vegan spread “because the product is manufactured in a facility that processes milk”.

Palm oil must stay inside. Fans of the original can’t do without it, the milk version is of course still available.
Nutella has been around for 60 years. The chocolate cream is sold in 170 countries.
