Unlike in Styria, the car companies in Carinthia are holding up well. The order books are not yet full, but the roads are not shaking either. The “Krone” has investigated why this is the case and which challenges are still causing problems for the economy.
While thousands of jobs in the automotive industry are unstable due to the weak order situation in Styria – reports the ‘Krone’ – things look a little brighter in Carinthia: hardly any vehicles or engines are produced here, but mainly the automotive industry is supplied with components – the so-called Automotive sector. Nevertheless, Michael Velmeden, head of the Carinthian Industrial Chamber of Commerce, continues to assume that the employment situation will be stable.
