The postal distribution centers in Vorarlberg will be flooded with parcels again shortly before Christmas. Volumes have increased dramatically since the pandemic. For the postal workers, that means running until their soles burn. One of them has been Paul Dünser for 40 years.
At 6:30 am there is a lot of activity in the distribution center in Feldkirch. Postman Paul Dünser and his approximately 60 colleagues sort letters, brochures and magazines so that they can later be distributed in an orderly manner. He has worked at the post office for forty years. “Christmas is a very busy time for us,” he admits. Addition: “With a little routine – and I have that – it is possible.” Paul Dünser hands out up to 150 packages every day. If he starts at 6:30 am, he usually finishes by 3:00 pm.
