“Dream” comes true: ex-chancellor Kurz makes millions in profit with his company

Date:

Sebastian Kurz has been active in business since his departure as chancellor, and with success. In 2023 he managed to significantly increase profits. His Israeli cybersecurity company Dream Security is doing particularly well.

Kurz switched from politics to business more than two years ago. In 2023 he managed to increase his profit as an entrepreneur from 1.9 million (2022) to 3.9 million euros.

The former ÖVP politician has several pillars. The most important is the cybersecurity company in Israel (Dream Security), he also has a consultancy firm (SK Management GmbH) and an investment company (AS2k), which he runs together with investor Alexander Schütz.

Israeli start-up is the main project

  • Kurz sees the cybersecurity company Dream, which he founded two years ago with two partners in Tel Aviv, Israel, as his most important entrepreneurial project. It employs more than 100 people, the company specializes in artificial intelligence and has a valuation of more than 200 million euros.
  • SK Management, in turn, is a consultancy firm that also invests in companies itself. Companies in different parts of the world are advised, not only from a business perspective, but also from a geopolitical perspective. The focus is on the Middle East. There are ten employees.
  • Recently, Kurz also founded a new company in the ex-OMV environment. He has a one-third interest in KFF Vision Green GmbH.

Next to Blümel and Köstinger
Kurz has an office in Vienna in the centrally located Fichtegasse. There he sits next to three old loyal companions, the two former government members Gernot Blümel and Elisabeth Köstinger, as well as his chief of staff Bernhard Bonelli.
