The food delivery service Mjam wants to hire a thousand extra couriers. The company currently employs 3,100 messengers in Austria, of which 2,000 in Vienna. At the beginning of 2023, the subsidiary of the German delivery service Delivery Hero wants to make a profit.
In addition to dishes from restaurants, Mjam also increasingly delivers other products. For example, there has been a delivery service for supermarket items for a few months now. Further expansion is planned.
This year, but no later than 2023, Mjam also wants to enter the book delivery market, which Mjam manager Alexander Gaied described in the “Standard” as “ultimate revenge on Amazon”. Mjam is currently in talks with booksellers.
