Bad news for all electricity customers – and there are quite a few – in the entire state of Upper Austria. At the turn of the year, network rates rise and the brakes on energy prices, electricity and environmental taxes are lifted. We asked what this means for customers and who benefits from it.
This year not only has an end date, but also – linked to it – many co-payments and taxes that dampen the electricity price. Unless other decisions are made at the political level, every household in Upper Austria will have to be prepared for at least 500 euros in additional electricity costs per year, based on a calculation based on a consumption of 2,900 kilowatt hours.
