Complaints about the postal service have been piling up for weeks in the city of Oberndorf in the north of Salzburg. There were also no official notifications for citizens in different parts of the city about the vote on the S-Link mega project. Mayor Djundja is angry.
“We have had to get used to the fact that there are always problems with postal delivery in our region for years.” Oberndorf Mayor Georg Djundja snorts. Because complaints are currently piling up at the municipality. Sometimes there is no mail at all for two weeks, but it is delivered in a huge package. “The customers, in this case both the municipality and the citizens, pay the post office for a service that is not performed correctly,” says the SPÖ politician.
“Who will take responsibility?”
What further increases the explosiveness of the bad situation? The S-Link mega infrastructure project will be voted on on November 10. Six working days before Day “
The mayor of Oberndorf emphasizes that the post office employees are not to blame: “They can’t do anything about it. On the contrary, without them nothing would work anymore.” But the hope remains that the information can still be delivered on time.
