Self-employed people will pay between 245 and 530 euros per month in 2023

Date:

Escrivá agrees to the employer’s request and will phase out the premium increase until 2025, although the cut for those who earn the least will also be phased out

The new self-employed bonus scheme will be phased in from January, with a gradual increase in 2023 and 2024 to reach by 2025 the quota that the government practically agreed on Monday with the social agents. The application schedule for these three years has yet to be agreed and the Social Security Minister, José Luis Escrivá, has already sent them the full proposal this morning.

Escrivá has again agreed to the employer’s requests and the increase in the quota for those who come in the most will be done gradually. This was requested by ATA, the main association of freelancers integrated in the CEOE. However, the reduction of quotas for those who earn the least will also happen gradually, despite the fact that unions and associations such as UPTA and UATAE had asked for them to be introduced as early as January.

For example, according to the new text, the allowances for the self-employed will vary in 2023 from 245 euros, almost 50 euros less than now (294 euros is the minimum allowance that most entrepreneurs pay), and 500 euros, 122 euros more than now only 90 euros under the 590 euros that they will pay in 2025.
