According to the plan, many subsidy deadlines end at the end of the year – the “Krone” has looked around so that perhaps some (Upper) Austrians can still get their money. The replacement and renovation bonus for the boiler expired faster than expected: the financing freeze has arrived and there are countless disappointed people who took their time and lost up to around 35,000 euros.
“In the morning I submitted a financing application, in the evening the homepage was blocked and the customer collapsed as a result,” says a heating engineer from Mühlviertler – the deadline for replacing the boiler would have been towards the end of the year, when federal funding was exhausted two weeks earlier, the portal was closed. The question is whether the initiatives ‘From oil and gas’, ‘Heating for everyone’ and ‘Renovation bonus’ will be continued. If you’ve been thinking about it for too long, look through your fingers: switching from oil and gas to ‘green’ heating systems involves up to 75 percent subsidies or even total subsidies.
