Vienna Airport set an all-time record for passenger volumes in 2024. With 31.72 million passengers, the listed Vienna-Schwechat Airport recorded the highest passenger volume in its history. The number is therefore well above the level before the corona pandemic.
The value is about 50,000 passengers above the pre-Corona year 2019. A “historic high” was also reached in terms of freight volume of 297,945 tons in 2024.
Positive outlook for 2025
In 2024, the Flughafen Wien Group, including its foreign holdings Malta Airport and Kosice Airport, increased passenger volumes by 9.1 percent compared to the previous year to a total of approximately 42 million people.
Flughafen Wien AG is also looking positively at the year 2025: an increase in turnover to approximately 1,080 million euros, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) of approximately 440 million euros and a profit over the period of approximately 230 million euros are expected.
