Financial strength is running out – entrepreneur: ‘SV contributions are not levied’

Date:

Entrepreneur Daniel Schlerit is running out of financial resources. The social insurance for the self-employed (SVS) housed the father of five, but he now has to auction his old collection of basketball jerseys to be able to pay back at least part of the installments. “But I’m certainly not alone,” says the fitness and health trainer. The SVS must abide by the law, it states from there.

It sounds like a success story when Daniel Schlerit talks about his health studio and, after two locations in Vienna, about the construction of the third in Münchendorf in the Mödling district. But soon followed the pandemic, which had a huge impact on the fitness and health industry in particular.

Up with corona help
After investing the most in the new location, he felt compelled to pack in Vienna. The social insurance for the self-employed (SVS) postponed the premiums to the entrepreneur, with the Corona help he kept his head above water.

Vienna would have agreed, St. Pölten disagrees
With aid payments gone, things are slow to get going. Since there are no prizes yet, the father of five cannot cash out. However, the SVS is back to normal and prompts for old messages. While they would have granted him monthly installments of 100 euros in Vienna, in Lower Austria they want at least 350 euros from Schlerith.

“I’m definitely not the only one”
“As an entrepreneur, I am certainly not the only one. There are positive predictions, only I need time. The SVS is driving me to bankruptcy’, he fears. He is now auctioning off his collection of old basketball jerseys to pay back. The SVS must also comply with the law. Intensive consultation would often help. Unfortunately not in this case.
