On Tuesday afternoon, company boss Florian Teufelberger, together with the management of the Strapping Solution area, informed the employees about the coming bankruptcy. On Thursday in the morning, the application for the renovation process without self -managers was submitted to the Regional Court in Wels.
In the late afternoon the number of Teufelberger GmbH, in which the production of the packaging tires is located on the table. According to the bankruptcy application, the obligations amounted to around 8.3 million euros, the Credit Protection Association of 1870 late. Apparently the obligations may only be the claims of the supplier. The general obligations can therefore be higher, it said.
20 jobs disappeared last year
Teufelberger explains that walking to the Bankruptcy Court is the result of a development in recent years. “We have also actively taken steps for some time to take the situation into account,” says the manager, who has the family business in a seventh generation. For example, the staff in 2024/25 was reduced by 20 employees. “A combination of non -infamings and actual dismissals,” said Teufelberger.
The holding gave money in November. At the same time, the internal structures were improved so that the company, which was taken over in April 2022, was better coordinated, resources were better utilized.
What led to bankruptcy? “Customers set up their bearings in the first Corona phase and then went into a phase with full pleasers, in which they then needed less generally,” Teufelberger describes the consequences of the decrease in demand. Moreover, there was an overcapacity on the market, which also put pressure on prices.
Jänner’s wages and salaries are no longer paid
However, since November, the company has registered rising order for the area of the packaging tires, for which 186 employees work in Wels. Teufelberger GmbH was no longer able to pay for their January salaries and wages. The Insolvency Ford Fund will now pay for this. Martin Stossier was named the renovation recently.
