The online retailer Amazon now offers a “on the same day” delivery in Vienna and the lower Austrian communities of Guntramsdorf, Wiener Neudorf, Perchtoldsdorf, Maria Enzersdorf, Mödling and Brunn on the mountains.
The delivered goods come from the Czech Amazon camp in Brno, said it at the request of Amazon. The American dealer does not have a warehouse in Austria, but only has distribution centers for packages with his own deliverers.
Order from Monday to Friday to 11 am
Hundreds of thousands of products that are ordered until 11 a.m. (Monday-free day) arrive on the same day until 10 p.m., Amazon said in a broadcast. For Amazon Prime customers, delivery is free on the same day from an order value of 20 euros, while a reimbursement of EUR 4.99 is for orders below this amount. Customers without a prime membership pay 9.99 euros for delivery on the same day.
Since 2016, Amazon has invested more than 715 million euros in Austria, the majority of it to expand the logistics network. “Since the opening of our first logistics location 2018, we have been able to double the number of available products for Austrian customers the next day and almost tripled in Vienna,” said Amazon Logistics Austrian Miriam Enzi.
