The majority of Spaniards spend their holidays in Spain (79%), compared to those who have chosen a destination outside Europe (7%). In Spain, the classic sun and beach destinations continue to prevail: Andalusia (31%), Valencian Community (23%), Catalonia (14%), Galicia (13%) and the Canary Islands (12%).

Moreover, despite the infinity of alternatives that can be available when choosing a place to stay, 53% of Spaniards prefer to spend their holidays in a hotel, compared to 6% who decide to stay in a caravan or motorhome. to stay.

Inflation is one of the most relevant aspects when it comes to organizing holidays. Despite the fact that many Spaniards have decided to travel this summer after the restrictions end, not all people can afford to bear the same costs.

In fact, 24% plan to spend around €51-70 per night on their holiday accommodation this year, compared to those who expect to spend less than €30 per night (13%).

Despite the fact that 18% of the respondents claim to have a monthly family income between 1,001 and 1,500 euros, 40% are forced to postpone their summer vacation plans due to rising prices.

54% of those surveyed had to look for other cheaper housing alternatives. Even 61% have decided to travel to their holiday destination by private car, despite the fact that for 45% the increase in the price of petrol has had a significant influence on their decision about transport.

That Yes, the Spaniards agree to cut a series of expenses in order to go on summer holidays (63%). Bars and restaurants (77%) and clothing (62%) are the products most consumed by those surveyed and willing to give up to enjoy a few days off.
