All existing approximately 1000 subscribers, including their contracts, have been taken over by an atmosphere, you want to concentrate on new business models and software solutions for the car market: four years after Ocay started as an automatic subscription supplier, the Welser sold their operational activities. The construction time was intense, devoured energy and money.
“New solutions, new dynamics”-under this motto, informs visitors to your website that after intensive discussions the operational company has been sold to the leading providers of Eostenrijk in the subscription. The approximately 1,000 Welser Aur subscribers are now provided by an atmosphere from Vienna. From maintenance to insurance to digital tools-the subscription provider guarantees an all-inclusive offer for a “carefree mobility experience”, as atmosphere boss Martin Rada calls it.
Within four years to the second largest provider
The sale was almost a logical step for Ocay founders Stefan Leeb, Michael Raberger and Bernhard Aichinger. “We have created a very good brand, have become the second largest car subscription provider in Austria within four years, but if you want to push it further, someone who is really after it is,” says Aichinger, who, together with Raberger, runs the company of the e-Conomix Group that operates from Wels.
In recent years, it has been intensively because the range of a car subscription had to be announced. “The educational work costs a lot of energy and money,” Aichinger reveals. Both were invested in the establishment of the company and also had a lot of risk. “So we sometimes ordered 700, 800 vehicles without having customer orders,” he recalls. Because the vehicle manufacturers were under pressure as a result of disturbed supply chains and the delivery times enormously shots, the Ocay founders went into the offensive: “When the manufacturers were able to deliver again and prices suddenly dropped an extremely big challenge for us. But we can damp that very well.
Buying or leasing a car are common purchases. How did the subscription establish itself? “In the meantime, rental prices in all areas are trendy. The number of options, the selection is exuberant. Although I am dedicated to buy, I don’t have to do it while renting – that is a big advantage, ”explains Bernadette Kamleitner from Bad Kreuzen, the vice -reflector of the Wirtschaftsuni Vienna. “Especially for small and mid-range cars, it is absolutely logical,” adds Aichinger.
Anyone who appreciates that cost security, transparency and simplicity are in good hands with a car subscription. “You get in the car and after a year with the fixed monthly operating costs you do not have to think of the discount and registration and winter or summer tires, nor of service and Pickerl,” says the Ocay co-founder.
What will the company do in Wels after the sale of the operational company? Ocay is now focusing on AI-supported software solutions for AutoABO providers and on individual fleet solutions for the volatile of 50 vehicles for short and long-term rent.
