Investors expect the minutes of the latest Fed and ECB meetings to be released later in the week

Investors are taking advantage of the lack of references on Wall Street, closed for the July 4 holiday, to recover positions in the stock market after a first half to forget. However, prudence is still very much in the mood of investors ahead of a week in which new prices are expected on the evolution of the economy with the publication of the minutes of the last meeting of the Fed and the ECB, to come respectively. meeting next Wednesday and Thursday.

“We will need to be very aware of their content, as they will allow us to get a more reliable picture of central bankers’ expectations about inflation and growth and how they plan to handle this scenario.” LinkSecurities analysts indicate.

Right now, the Ibex-35 is at 8,200 points in a transition session, up 0.5%, mainly driven by the 3% revaluation registered by Aena shares, similar to that of Repsol. Other major stocks such as Ferrovial, Acciona Energía, ArcelorMittal, Enagás, BBVA and Telefónica also rose with gains of more than 1%.

In the fixed income market, investors are selling government debt, pushing prices down and bond yields rising. Notably, the 10-year Spanish bond yield rose 4% to 2.4%, still well short of the 3% threshold it crossed in the most tense weeks of last month.

In the commodities market, the oil price continues to rise with a barrel of the Brent rate, the reference in Europe, close to 112 dollars, while the price in West Texas is trading at 108.4 dollars.
