After 13 years as head of the state’s electricity group, Christian Purrer retires. In the “Krone” interview he explains his positions on topics such as e -mobility, electricity prices and the influence of the government.
“Krone”: At the end of March they separate Styria from the executive floor of Energie Styria and retire at the age of 70. Are you satisfied with what has been achieved?Christian Purrer: Yes, because I can look back on a good plate. 13 years ago, when I accepted the board of the council, we were disabled with a large composite participation and a long -term gas supply contract with the Russians. My first goal was to make the Styrian company again and to buy the network. In this way we were able to fold gas and power sales, as well as the nets and bundle everything in energy styria. So we were suddenly in our own house. The second important step was to terminate the long -term gas contract in order not to get into an imbalance economically.
