NVIDIA reaches deep in his bulging wallet: according to a report, the world’s largest AI chip manufacturer wants to invest several hundred billion dollars in the United States over the next four years.
The chip giant expects to spend about half a trillion dollar (458.84 billion euros) for electronics during this period, reported the “Financial Times”, stating Nvidia Baas Jensen Huang. He was able to introduce hundreds of billion in the US, Huang told the newspaper.
Trump’s government could help accelerate the expansion of the AI industry in the US, he added.
NVIDIA can now produce its latest systems with suppliers such as the Taiwanese companies TSMC and Foxconn in the United States, said Huang, according to the newspaper. “The investments of TSMC in the US ensure a significant improvement in the resistance of our supply chain.”
