The prize for European natural gas increased considerably on Friday after unconfirmed reports on a possible attack on a Russian facility for the transport of a pipeline.
At the start of the trade, the TTF scheme trend -setting has increased to 45.49 euros per megawatt hour (MWH) for delivery in one month and therefore up to the highest level for approximately two weeks. On Thursday the price in late trade was still less than 43 euros.
After the considerable increase in the first minutes of the retail trade at the fair in Amsterdam, the gas price decreased a bit, the last 43.99 euros.
Market observers refer to unconfirmed videos on social networks, which are intended to show a possible attack on a system for gastrexual transport in the Russian region of Kursk. This can endanger the resumption of Russian gas deliveries to Europe.
