Carl Lechleitner has already laid floors in 54 countries around the world – on Sunday the entrepreneur, who lives in Linz, elevates to his next international mandate. The purpose of the business trip: the Expo in Osaka. The 59-year-old will offer musical WOW moments in the Austria pavilion of the world view.
“Show Space” is at the entrance to the company building of Carl Lechleitner. A term that is not entirely correct. Because if you visit the floor layer champion in Bäckerkeldstraße in Traun, you are surprised, among other things, a gigantic mirror hanging on the ceiling, but above all you immerse yourself in the inventions of the 59-year-old, who now also brings him to expon to Osaka and for which you have to listen above everything.
“Sockets are off”
With the energy of a Duracell Bunny, Lechleitner, who grew up like a mountain of farmer in the Montafon, moves between the exhibitions, the battery of a non -used drill and then the surface of an image with less than two volts, which he mentions “the Milanese”. “Sockets are out,” he says with a smile. Moments later he activates the music with the help of his smartphone, which suddenly sounds through the photo. Almost like with Spookhand, the piece becomes a speaker.
Images, mirrors and also musical instruments-lechleitner brings all this with a combination of low power supply and a special coating that he has developed. The idea of observing a power line gave him the idea when he was visiting Vorarlberg at home.
Knetter of the Power Line inspired
“Tau was on the line and it burst,” he remembers the moment a few years ago. The coating of the parts still happens by hand. Ex-Greiner-AG CEO Axel Kühner, who advises Lechleitner, is considering industrializing industrial production to considerably increase the output.
Now the Expo in Osaka is on the program. The makers of the Austria pavilion have committed themselves to the motto “compile the future” on the world view, which started on 13 April. About two photos are installed on the balcony of the pavilion, which will sound the Upper Austrian. A cello is also used in the VIP area, which becomes a healthy body with a minimal food and without a musician. Today, Sunday, Lechleitner slows down to Japan to guide the construction work of the appearance of Austria.
