Some innovations come to the Austrians in April. This also results in price increases, from the legal costs to tobacco to the electric cars. The “Kroon” has looked at what meaning that consumers are approaching.
The government – Krone. Reported – quickly baked a few tax increases shortly after the start. In some cases, companies responded to this in March and have adjusted the prices, but some things actually apply at the beginning of April.
Tobacco tax: In the case of tobacco tax, the tax to cigarettes increases from 80 euros per 1000 pieces to 83.50 euros. The reduction of the price -dependent component, on the other hand, is suspended, which generally leads to a higher tax pressure, the cigarettes by about 30 cents per package, one brand even rises by 50 cents in the price. A considerable price increase also comes with the tobacco heaters: the tax here increases by 80 percent. The Philip Morris tobacco group will make the so -called Heets more expensive with 50 percent, which applies from the beginning of April.
Laws: Competition increases from three to five percent. This will worsen the opportunities for sports enthusiasts in some places. It is not yet clear how and whether the providers pass on the higher compensation.
Photovoltaic: The exemption from sales tax for photovoltaic systems will fall on 1 April, which will make a maximum of hundreds of euros more expensive in the future.
E-actos: In the future, electric vehicles will no longer be exempt from engine -related insurance tax. On average, the e-car driver will hit 400 euros a year every year. As with combustion engines, powerful larger vehicles will be more expensive in the future.
Court costs: In April, some costs will be 23 percent more expensive. This also makes a divorce (even) more expensive. Land register litters or commercial register listings will also cost more in the future. The government also wants to adjust the federal reimbursements based on the expensive (for example for passport exhibitions or reporting ethic extracts), but this is only planned for July, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Rates for mobile phones: If every year, calling and surfing is more expensive for countless providers on 1 April. Because the rates then rise with inflation, this year is 2.9 percent plus, which affects more than half of the rates of the mobile phone and 90 percent of internet contracts.
Travel: Everyone who is on holiday in Britain needs an “ETA” registration in the future, which should cost 20 euros from 9 April. Until now, traveling to the United Kingdom has been easy.
Rent: There is even relief at some point. In contrast to April, the rental prices in the old building, the cooperative and community apartments in April will not rise, which was suspended by a decision.
