From and over: the Viennese organic bakery Gragger and Cie are finally bankrupt. After the insolvency procedure was open in 2022, the founder of the Helmut Gragger company now had to announce the failure of the procedure.
According to a report from the daily newspaper “Die Presse” by the founders of the company, the 35 employees have informed the failure of the renovation process.
Sale of sales, increased energy and wage costs
At that time this was opened as a result of loss of sale in and after the Corona crisis and increased energy costs, as the highly priced bakery explained. Gragger also referred to the newspaper for increased wage costs.
Half -2022, the city of Vienna was introduced the ‘Pride of Vienna’ project as a minority shareholder to help the company. According to the Credit Protection Associations, the obligations of around one million euros were around 30 creditors at the time of bankruptcy. The bakery would have had 50 employees at that time.
