According to a survey, almost every seventh company has been hit by a cyber attack in the past twelve months. According to a representative study by the TÜV association, 15 percent of companies reported 10 or more employees of at least one IT security incident.
Compared to the survey two years ago, the share of successfully chopped companies increased by four percentage points, the association said in Berlin.
However, the majority of the companies involved have not damaged any damage. Some recorded a light, very little damage.
System error, data theft and blackmail
“The German economy is in sight of state and criminal hackers who want to conquer sensitive data, want to blackmail money or sabotage important supply structures,” says Michael Fübi, president of the TÜV Association, when the study was presented in Berlin. A mesh criminal is therefore, for example, to cod or steal company data and then to blackmail the company.
Use attackers AI
The most common attack method has been reported as phishing. At Phible, for example, business staff are emailed and in the temptation to click on an attached link, which means that the company network can be infected with malware. With the help of artificial intelligence, these e -mails can now be personalized and perfectly formulated -so it is no longer as fast when it used to be the e -mail of an attacker.
