According to a representative study by Bitkom, every second company (50 percent) in Germany is forced to reconsider cloud computing to reconsider their own cloud strategy based on President Donald Trump’s policy under President Donald Trump.
From Mid -Maart to Mid -Mei, 604 companies of 20 of the 20 employees were interviewed on behalf of Bitkom for the study.

Great dependence
According to the Bitkom survey, almost two -thirds (62 percent) of the companies in Germany would now stand still without cloud services. At the same time, more than three-quarters (78 percent) of Germany are too dependent on American cloud providers, 82 percent want large cloud providers from Germany or Europe who can take on non-European market leaders.
Bitkom, President Ralf Winter barley said that Germany had to separate itself from one -sided dependencies, even with digital infrastructure. “This will be a central task of the new federal government.” You can also combine certain performance characteristics of international providers with a safety layer “made in Germany”.
According to the Bitkom study, all companies in Germany are now using the cloud or at least consider it. Currently, 9 out of 10 companies (90 percent) use cloud applications, a year ago the share was 81 percent. Another 10 percent of the companies intend to use or discuss Cloud.
Cloud use continues to increase
At present, almost half (47 percent) of all IT applications are operated from the cloud in the German economy, and a year ago it was 38 percent. The share is expected to be 58 percent by 2030. At the same time, 10 percent of companies still use less than 10 percent of their IT applications from the cloud, in five years this will no longer be the case with a company.
