The Murcian captained the outdoor test, saved herself from eviction and delighted her teammates with some texts from Rocío Jurado
Television’s most famous cuisines have reopened their doors to welcome a new celebrity edition of Masterchef Celebrity. The latest edition was presented last night with a load of characters that promise surprises, special situations and spectacular cooking. Already in the first program, one of the applicants had to say goodbye after being eliminated in the expulsion test for single chorizo chocolate. Emmanuel Esparza hung up his apron after Lorena Castell assigned him that plate to fight for its continuity.
From the beginning of the program, the celebrities verified the spirit of the program with the mythical test of the mystery boxes, but not before introducing themselves and telling a little more about it. Some spoke about their work or their relationship with cooking, and Ruth Lorenzo from Murcia took the opportunity to confess how she feels about one of the judges: «For me the most handsome men are Henry Cavill and Jordi Cruz». As if that wasn’t enough, he stated, “I’ve taken the Masterchef Online School courses and I’ve seen them many times for you.” The jury laughed at the declaration of love and joked about possible favoritism: “That’s a bit of a rally, Ruth.”
After a first cooking session where they couldn’t really show off, the team moved to the Real Sitio de la Granja de San Ildefonso de Segovia. The team event was held there, with Manu Baqueiro and Ruth Lorenzo as captains. Both teams managed to get the cooking going, but the failures were not minor, to the point where the guest chefs had to intervene. The red team, that of the Murcian singer, had the most problems, so they had to pass the first eviction test of the edition.
The best in the previous test, Lorena Castell, was in charge of awarding a dish to each of her teammates with whom they would play permanence. Ruth Lorenzo was a great cook with a meat bun filled with chorizo. The judges gave a very good evaluation of its elaboration and rated it as “a good job”. To celebrate, the singer started with a few verses from ‘Muera el amor’, by Rocío Jurado, with which she stunned the jury and colleagues, although some joked that it was a special dedication to Jordi Cruz.
