‘Up the curtain’, a very special view of the theater world

The Huerta de Alcantarilla Museum opens this Friday this exhibition with paintings and sculptures by 16 artists

Until October 23, the Museo de la Huerta will host the exhibition ‘Arriba el curtain’, curated by Eva Hernández, with works by 16 national and international artists. Paintings, sculptures and photos that offer a very special view of the theater world. The opening is this Friday at 7 pm and is included in the activities of the Alcantarilla Theater Festival.

Among the 22 works are hyper-realistic sculptures by the Serb Marc Sijan and the American Thomas Kuebler, and the projection of the famous ‘Tableaux Vivants’ by Ludovica Rambelli Teatro. The Valencian sculptor Juan Piza offers ‘Talía & Melpómene’, a representation of the two masks, one happy and the other sad, tragedy and comedy, embodied in two Egyptian rats. The Murcia Rosa Vivanco pays tribute to the women of the theatre. International photographer William Wegman is also taking part in the exhibition.

‘Arriba el curtain’ can be visited from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
