The countdown begins for the next race for victory in the Eurovision Song Contest. After the success of the previous edition, the ‘Benidorm Fest’ will again be held to decide which artist will represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023. This Saturday, October 29, more details will finally be known about the candidates who will participate in the Benidorm Fest 2023. That day, a special program will be broadcast on La 1 in which the participants of the next edition of this festival will be presented.
The gala will be hosted by Rodrigo Vázquez, host of ‘El Cazador’, and Julia Varela, Eurovision commentator. During the gala, special artists will perform, such as Chanel, who will pass the baton to the winner of the festival. This special program reveals more details about the candidates, their motivations to appear at the festival, their professional careers and some hints about the musical proposal they will premiere in the coming months.
Last Tuesday, the names of the artists who will participate in the Benidorm Fest 2023 were announced. Inés Hernand read one by one the names of the artists who choose to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest. The 18 chosen are Agoney, Alfred García, Alice Wonder, Aritz Arén, Blanca Paloma, E’ffemme, Famous, Fusa Nocta, José Otero, Karmento, Megara, Meler, Raky Ripper, Sharonne, Siderland, Sofía Martín, Twin Melody and Vicco .
The dates of the festival that the next Eurovision candidate will choose are already known. For those who don’t know what it was like last year, the same dynamic is repeated, two semi-finals and one final will be held. In addition, a gala will be held on January 29, 2023 as the official opening of the Benidorm Fest.
