The new edition of ‘Murcia is Fashion’ filled the city center with emerging talent on Saturday. The event, which aims to become a reference in its sector, took to the streets this time to make it accessible to a wider audience. Youth, talent, modernity, recycling, sustainability and inclusion were present on the catwalk in Julián Romea Square.
MR Studios, Almudena Abenza, Ruth Drendez, Cristina Munuera, There Cremades, Pilar Llamas and Amanecer Nupcial paraded in this fall edition. The variety of this edition is one of the conditions emphasized by one of the organizers, Lorenzo Tomás Gabarrón, President of the City Council of the Eastern District: «That was the goal when we launched the call, that there would be a varied panorama that would show the huge talent we have in Murcia and that through these initiatives an opportunity and great visibility is given to all these designers who are starting out and who have the privilege of sharing the show with other more established designers”.
Along the same lines, Diego Avilés, co-organizer of the event and chairman of the board of Central West, recalled that “the success of the first edition and the fact that many people were left out due to Covid restrictions led us to consider this second in the fall in one of the epicenters of the commercial and cultural activity of the center, such as Plaza Romea ».
