Eamonn Holmes described his 93-year-old mother as a “hero.”
Josie, the mother of a Northern Irish television presenter, lives in Belfast with Eamonn, who lives in Surrey.
In a post posted to Instagram on Tuesday night, he said, “Just say…it’s Christmas, the guy I’m having. He’s 93, but frail, but his mind is sharp. That’s Josiah…”
His wife, Ruth Langsford, replied, “What a woman!”
“I bet he’s so proud of you my friend – my late mom and dad mean everything to me,” added ballroom dancer James Jordan.
Speaking to Woman and Home magazine last year, Eamonn said he and his wife, Ruth, spend Christmas together to be with their moms.
He said: We have this problem now because the sea separates us.
“We often have a dilemma, whether or not I’m going to Belfast and whether Ruth is going to come to me.
But Ruth wants to be with her mother. My mother is 93 years old this year. Breaking up is often easier for us.
