The company decides not to talk about Rocío Carrasco, Kiko Rivera or Marta Riesco and demands that its producers end internal wars
Mediaset wants to usher in a new era after a sad 2022 in terms of ratings and a very bad start to the year, only saved in ‘prime time’ by the love affairs of ‘The island of temptations’. A program that has become essential for Telecinco, which is now broadcasting its sixth edition in three years, with good viewing figures: on Monday it broke its own record with a ‘share’ of 14.3%.
It’s the only joy on the main Mediaset chain’s roster that’s showing signs of exhaustion with viewers. To put an end to this constant loss of ‘share’, Mediaset CEO Alessandro Salem has decided to cut with the ‘father’ -Paolo Vasile, company director for 23 years- and make significant changes to the policy of the chains, both Telecinco and Cuatro.
The first, ending with the presence of many of the celebrities who have played hundreds of hours in their programs. This blacklist, according to Yotele, includes almost the entire clan of Rocío Jurado – Rocío Carrasco, Antonio David Flores, Fidel Albiac, Olga Moreno, Rocío Flores, Marta Riesco, Gloria Camila, José Fernando, Rosario Mohedano, Rosa Benito, José Ortega Cano, Kiko Rivera and Barbara Rey.
