Gemma McGowan has been diagnosed Rare type of ovarian cancer Shortly after the birth of their third child last year, doctors gave her just one year to live.
The wealthy woman shared her journey with cancer on her Instagram account and is now appearing in the latest series in Stacey Dooley’s Sleeps Over series.
Gemma spent four days at Stacey’s home with her husband, Clive, and children, Betty, Louise, and Sadie, where they provided information on living with stage 4 cancer.
Speaking to MyTyrone, Gemma said filming the series was a “nerve-wracking” experience, but the popular TV presenter felt calm.
“I was very nervous at first, but as soon as we met Stacey, we fell in love with her and calmed down immediately,” Gemma said.
“He is a wonderful person. Even the kids loved his presence.”
The past few months have been so busy omg A native who traveled to Lapland for a magical family experience after filming the series, he is now back home from Mexico, where he is undergoing alternative treatment in an attempt to prolong his life.
“It was an exciting weekend, we laughed a lot and cried a lot,” he added.
“I don’t think it’s all over yet. I honestly cried when he left.
“I opened my heart and mind to things I hadn’t thought of, planned or thought of yet.”
The series will air on W TV in April and has been described by Gemma as an emotional attraction.
“I hope you all enjoy and love every second as much as we love every second of the show,” Jema added on her Instagram account, which has nearly 30,000 subscribers.
“It’s raw and real and has all our feelings and sincerity in it.”
Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over is now in her third series and sees the hero residing in the UK with extraordinary families.
The show describes the show as “a relentless overview of modern life, behind the doors of some unconventional families in Britain, where people live a lifestyle that others can judge”.
