The Belfast Theater Company has created an audio tour to continue the conversation about men’s violence against women.
The Three’s Theater Company’s work was created in the wake of a series of recent events that have created a national debate about male violence and women’s safety, including the recent case of 33-year-old Sarah Everard, who was allegedly murdered by a man on her way home.
The challenging audio segment called “I Believe Her” was created by a team of women across Ireland who encourage everyone to listen.
A company spokesperson said: “We invite the public to walk for 30 minutes with a friend, put on their headphones, click the link and click play at the same time. After discussing their experiences, we are particularly interested in women sharing these experiences with the men in their lives, while Men share it with other men We want this section to start by talking about the covenant and how harmful it is to talk about “all people.”
“Three theater troupes made with great desire”I believe in it” A sound journey to let women know their voices are heard and form an alliance among men.”
The project is funded through the JustGiving page and the company encourages listeners to donate and distribute. All proceeds will help fund participating artists and support similar projects in the future.
