The Ukrainian Association of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Regional Library, has organized an art exhibition in support of Ukraine entitled ‘The Disasters of War’, which opened on Saturday.
The exhibition, on display until May 24, features works by Ukrainian artists Volodymyr Stasenko and Ostap Kovalchuk, who are developing a touring exhibition through several European countries and for which they have had to request special permission from the Ukrainian government to be in a state of armed conflict.
«The images of the war through the work of these two famous Ukrainian painters are a small but very direct example of the disaster caused by the invasion of their country, with works showing, through realism, the horror and hardships that the people of Ukraine are suffering,” reports the regional government.
The exhibition has the support of the Ukrainian Embassy in Spain.
