Singer and composer Juan Valderrama will present this Tuesday at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) the recital ‘Mujeres de Carne y Verso’, justifying female poetry through 26 centuries of history. The cultural event will take place at 6:00 pm in the Isaac Peral auditorium of the CIM, and in it the artist will recite verses by Rosalía de Castro, Elvira Sastre, Gloria Fuertes, Concha Lagos or Gabriela Mistral, among many other poets. Valderrama is accompanied on guitar by Mercedes Luján from Lorca and on cello by Cari Rosa Varona. Admission is free until full capacity is reached, so the UPCT recommends emailing equality@upct.es to reserve a seat. The event is funded by the Directorate General for Women and Gender Diversity of the Region of Murcia, which is responsible for the State Pact against Gender Violence, as reported by the educational institution.
