-They come with a new proposal in the afternoon of Telecinco.
– We try to do new things on TV. It is always said that everything is invented, and it certainly is, but on our part there will be no attempt to surprise. We will do all our efforts for this.
-What will they contribute?
-Each of us will have his way of contributing. We try to do things differently. In my case, I’ve always tried to surround myself with a good mood and I’m going to use it in the program. I want it to be a fun experience for the viewer.
– Summer gives more opportunities to experiment?
-Frankly, I’ve long believed that it’s always a good time to experiment. Maybe because we’re all more relaxed in the summer, and even more so because it’s a program that airs on weekends, it might be one of the best times to try and explain things from a different point of view. People are receptive. I think she’s calmer. But you can experience the rest of the year. That thing that it’s only in the summer is history.
-It comes in the world of social networks.
-That’s going to be part of the DNA of the part I run. Each of the three of us is going to lead part of the show. In my section we are going to spend time on social networks. Nowadays we cannot watch what is happening on the networks, especially not with the intention of entertaining and laughing. We will also be bringing guests and employees, many of whom are rarely seen on television. One of our challenges is discovering new faces.
-Are you afraid of comparisons with ‘Viva la vida’?
I live naturally. Comparisons will be inevitable. Our program is occupying its slot and this is the order of the day. They are different programs and nothing happens. Whoever wants to compare, let him do it. It’s something that’s part of our television.
-How did you feel when you received the proposal from Telecinco?
– It was a surprise, it took me by surprise. This season I’ve been linked to Mediaset with several programs, but the truth is I already had my head on vacation. The proposal came, I was surprised, but it took me half a second to tell them to count on me.
-Do you have another project with Mediaset?
– You should ask the directors of Mediaset, it’s not in my hands (laughs). I ended up in the group that worked together in ‘Cuatro al día’ and later in the debates of ‘Secret Story’. My link with Mediaset already existed and I enjoy working at the Unicorn Content production house. The band comes from a long time and I understand that we will continue to do things together.
-What do you need to do television?
-I have to do news and call the “TV” that aired at dawn.
-And what news would you like to give this summer?
– Depends on how we proceed. When we get really serious, I’ve always thought I’d love to break the news that the cure for cancer has been found or that the WHO is finally proclaiming the end of the coronavirus pandemic.
