In Salzburg the KPÖ became a party in the state parliament, in Graz the mayor is a communist. In the holy land of Tyrol, the Fritz list grew considerably. The Carinthian team is there in parliament. Dominik Wlazny of the Beer Party took third place in the federal presidential election. So is there a desire on the part of Austrian voters for new parties?

Party founder Fritz – hence the name – Dinkhauser was chairman of the Workers’ Chamber of the ÖVP and had worked for it since 1965. As the frontman of the Carinthian team, Gerhard Köfer was both mayor of the SPÖ and Frank Stronach’s entourage.
