Earlier this week, detectives investigating the murder of Roy Reynolds arrested a 48-year-old woman in Newtown and conducted a search.
The body of a 54-year-old man was found early Monday morning on the outskirts of Carrickfergus.
On Wednesday, PSNI said the lead investigation team had arrested the woman and searched two residential properties in the Newtownab district on Tuesday afternoon.
The two men, 68 and 32, who were arrested for premeditated murder after officers parked a silver car as of 7 a.m. Monday in Claunmore Green, Newtown, remain in custody on Monday morning.
Senior Investigative Inspector Ray Phelan said that by 6 a.m. on Monday, local agents had received reports of suspicious activity in the Derek Wee Ratkul area of Newtown Abbey.
The accused officers later found a silver Toyota C-HR and parked it in Clonmore Green around 7 a.m. and arrested two passengers.
“Mr. Reynolds’ body was found in waters near Carrickfergus Town Hall/New Line just after 8:45 a.m. Monday. Examination is still ongoing.
“Once again I appeal to anyone who has been to the Derrycoole Way area in Rathcoole or Councilors Road/New Line in Carrickfergus, from 2:00 to 7:00 Monday to 7:00, to anyone who has seen anything or anyone who has any information, which It will assist in my investigation, contact the investigators.
