“You notice that the competition is nervous!”

Date:

Our ski jumping team is flying away from the rest of the world, the others don’t like it at all. There are reasons for the dominance of the ÖSV – according to Austrian ski jumping legend Andi Goldberger in his column “Krone”…

The triple victory in Oberstdorf was the perfect end to 2024. Our team’s performance in Garmisch-Partenkirchen was the ideal start to the new year. Halfway through the tour there has never been a three-way lead for Austria – that’s really cool!

Even great stuff doesn’t fly by itself
It is also normal that the other countries are surprised and suspicion arises. Based on the allegations, you can see that the competition is nervous. Of course, to be successful you need great equipment. But it doesn’t fly by itself!

Everything we have complies with the rules; it has been checked often enough. In Austria, the technology model has also been worked on from a young age, so the results of the tour are also part of the great work for young talent.

“And Stefan Kraft is a competitive type anyway…”
As for the overall standings, I trust all three of them to win. Daniel Tschofenig has a very solid basic technique and is getting better and better in flight. Jan Hörl certainly has a chance to win, he won in Innsbruck last year and can now attack as a fighter. And Stefan Kraft is a competitive guy anyway, whose attitude is simply great.

I’m really looking forward to the home games in Bergisel and Bischofshofen. As an active participant I always looked forward to it, because as a little boy every jumper dreams of one day being able to participate.

“After ten years it is time for…”
It is very good for me as a viewer, because the boys also act very well: sympathetic, young, positive and friendly. They are real role models! And after ten years it’s just time for us to win the tour again.
