Network in the picture – No answer: Refusal sentence requested for Schelling

Date:

Due to the recent chat messages between the dazzling entrepreneur Sigi Wolf and the ex-Finance Minister Hans Jörg Schelling (ÖVP), the expectations of the ÖVP U committee were high on Wednesday. The two invited informants, however, seemed unwilling to talk – the day ended in a veritable orgy of denial. While Wolf was skirmishing with the deputies, Schelling went on the defensive—and could have been given a refraction penalty.

“I will not testify to this procedure,” the former finance minister said on numerous questions on Wednesday. The reason he gave was that he was listed as a suspect in the Ibiza proceedings. However, this limited willingness to provide information went too far for subdistrict court judge Wolfgang Pöschl (as party independent judge).

The court must now decide on the sentence
Pöschl wanted to know why public relations expenditure in Schelling’s former department had soared and was well above budgeted figures. For many of the orders, there were no documents at all. However, he had no insight yet and could still be questioned about this by the public prosecutor, Schelling explains.

However, that was not enough for the third president of the National Council, Norbert Hofer (FPÖ), to be the reason for a rejection – so a fine is being sought in the federal administrative court. But Schelling was also rather defensive in other respects, including about tax benefits for entrepreneurs. For example, KTM boss Pierer, a ÖVP donor, paid only a few thousand euros in tax in 2012. What happened when this became known?

Didn’t know anything about scandal studies
“That was ten years ago. And a finance minister is not informed about individual files.” He wrote 50 text messages about it. He knew nothing about Kurz’s “Project Ballhausplatz”. Not even from scandalous studies, billed through his ministry. Against Kurz and others is determined here. It is the presumption of innocence.

From Reifnitz to St. Petersburg
Shortly before Schelling’s arrival, Wolf was also silent, though he fought duels with the MPs: Stephanie Krisper and Nina Tomaselli are unlikely to receive an invitation to Sigi Wolf’s estate in Reifnitz, where he greets powerful people, including those of the ÖVP.

The MPs from NEOS and the Greens caused irritation with the investor associated with Turkey with their questions, which was expressed in sarcastic answers. Wolf assumed “patzen, sully, subordinate.” Jan Krainer (SPÖ) also wanted to know a lot, learned little.

“Financing rally” for Sebastian Kurz?
Thanks to the best contacts in the ÖVP-led Ministry of Finance, Wolf could look forward to a tax cut in the millions. Moreover, the interest waiver was too much. Only thanks to attentive tax officials did the matter finally come to light. The WKStA is now investigating. Wolf is thus listed as a suspect, which is why he decided in the committee. The trigger is ex-Finance General Thomas Schmid. His cell phone is like Pandora’s turquoise box.

The dazzling Styrian wolf barely showed. “Financing rally” for Sebastian Kurz? “I never donated.” Messages to Kurz 2019 that he must intervene with US ministers for Wolf’s Russian friend Deripaska, whose companies are on sanctions lists? No information.

Tax breaks for customers: it’s all so long ago
What was Putin’s visit to St Petersburg in 2018 about – with Kurz, OMV boss Seele, finance minister Schelling, real estate agent Benko? denial. Message to Schmid “I will fight for you by all means”? denial.
