The leader of the PP has asked the president of the Spanish government to seek support “in the party that stands for the alternative”, in the context of this afternoon’s face-to-face meeting, where Sánchez also discussed energy-saving measures.
The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has offered the President of the government, Pedro Sánchez, the support of his formation to complete the mandate of this legislature if he is able to break with United We Can and its parliamentary partnerssuch as ERC or Bildu.
This was transferred during his speech in the Senate plenary session after the appearance of the Chief Executive to analyze the energy situationwhere he was criticized for acting so far with improvisation, paying attention only to “demographic” doubts about the next election.
“No one in Spain believes that Bildu is more constructive than the PP. No one in Spain believes that a dialogue table with the ERC is easier than with the PP. No one in Spain believes that the PP is going to propose more events than Podemos,” said the leader of the PP launched to Sánchez.
In this way Feijóo has warned that Spain does not deserve a government “volatile”, “oversized” and “understated”and so he has urged him to “break with his allies”, to fire the ministers he “has not named” and the incumbent officials who “cannot handle the critical moment in Spain”.
“Seek support in the party that embodies the alternative,” Feijóo demanded of the president, emphasizing that his offer will not cause confusion, as the PP will “never” be his “steady ally”, but his country.
