The 55-year-old from the Voitsberg district wanted to load a cow onto a trailer in a meadow around 8.30 am. At first everything went according to plan, but suddenly the animal got out and punched the man in the face.
Wife came to help
The woman present immediately rushed to the aid of Western Styria and notified the emergency services. A few minutes after the alarm was raised, a so-called “First Responder” from the Red Cross was on the scene. Because the skull injuries were so severe, the injured person was put into artificial deep sleep at the scene. The rescue helicopter Christophorus 17 eventually flew the seriously injured to the LKH Graz.
