EH Bildu’s candidate for general deputy of Álava, Eva Lopez de Arroyabehas this Saturday asserted the need to adopt fiscal policies that prioritize wealth distribution, as well as intervention in the energy sectors and urgent solutions in housing, health, education and care.
Arroyabe made this reflection at the inauguration of a new headquarters in Iruna de Oka (Álava), in which he stressed that facing the economic recession, guaranteeing quality public services and avoiding the energy and climate emergency will be the challenges of his coalition for the coming months, as reported by EH Bildu in a note.
After lamenting that the problems discovered before the summer had been exacerbated when he cited the rise in inflation, he felt that there were “alternatives to a government without leadership”, referring to the provincial government of Álava, made up of PNV and PSE-EE.
“At EH Bildu, we are clear that citizens cannot afford this crisis and therefore the protection and well-being of people must be strengthened,” emphasized López de Arroyabe, who defended the need to adopt tax policies that distribute wealth, such as but also interventions in the energy sectors and urgent solutions in the areas of housing, health, education and care.
It has also insisted on the need for a reconnected on the protection of nature and the climate crisis. “We are reclaiming the need to reach consensus through the establishment of a public energy sector and public policies that consolidate our energy sovereignty,” he stressed.
