Poster presentation – Kickl on rosary: ”Dive into the population”

Date:

On Wednesday, the FPÖ presented the second wave of posters for their federal presidential candidate, Walter Rosenkranz. “We are taking back our freedom” and “Acting on behalf of the people – instead of the elite and the powerful”, are the messages of the blue candidate.

FPÖ leader Herbert Kickl attended the poster presentation, which was designed with violent attacks on Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen, who in the Corona policy “included himself in the ranks of the torturers”, “wanted to drive his own population to the needle and divided the population”. Rosencrantz would be a president “acting on behalf of the people — he would prevent such a thing and certainly not participate in such a deceptive policy,” Kickl said.

The blue presidential candidate also had his say, denouncing measures to contain the pandemic itself: personal freedom, freedom of expression and freedom of assembly had been trampled “in times of dictatorships,” but also “in the past two and a half years.” years,” said Rosenkranz.

“Needs Liberation”
Russia was also discussed during the presentation. “People wonder why the government and the Federal President are dragging us into an economic war (with Russia, ed.). We are neutral – that doesn’t mean we don’t help the poor victims,” Kickl says.
“A liberation is needed – and this has to come from the office of the Federal President,” Kickl explained why he wants to see Rosencrantz in this office.

This is the only candidate who “really immerses himself in the population” and “engages” with them. Van der Bellen, on the other hand, is a “theoretician” and “unrealistic”. “He flees from the population,” Kickl says, “in real life there is no such thing anymore.” Rosencrantz also criticized the incumbent’s alleged lack of proximity: he had the impression that Van der Bellen only spoke to people “who have no problem paying their electricity bills or swallowing the increased price of milk or bread”.

‘Having to pay enough blood toll’
Rosencrantz is clearly committed to Austrian neutrality: “Neutrality is not only carved in stone, but also in granite in the Waldviertel”. Austria has had to pay “enough bloody tolls on a wide variety of battlefields” in the past – “also through its own fault” – I don’t want it anymore,” Rosencrantz said.

Collaboration with MFG candidate Brunner possible
There were fewer attacks, but the offer of cooperation for other Hofburg candidates: If he moves into the Hofburg, then he will regularly listen to the opinions of the competitors, Rosenkranz said. He explicitly mentioned MFG candidate Michael Brunner, with whom he is on the same page when it comes to corona policy – here he could well imagine an advisory role, he said.
