Missing Maddie – Ex – Based: “New search was not needed”

Date:

On Thursday evening the new search for traces of the missing Madeleine McCann in Portugal was reset (see video above). “I have never seen as bad as the German police,” ex-policy officer Goncalo Amaral, who had to do with the case for a few months.

As Portuguese media reported, the emergency services in combination with excavators, kicking and sawing suddenly and saw fountains near a house where the suspect Christian B. had temporarily lived. They took some rehearsals that must now be evaluated. The researchers initially did not announce any details.

In any case, the former police officer Amaral is sure that such a large -scale search was not necessary. “A plane with a ground radar would have been enough and the search area would have been reduced. It is nothing new,” he told the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet. After the disappearance of the nearly four -year -old Maddie in May 2007, Amaral determined in the case of a family vacation in the Algarve for a few months.

Considers parents guilty
The 65-year-old calls the current research a “show” and claims that they would come “to distract from the actual subject”. When children disappear, those people are often suspicious “who have a duty of care towards them”. Amaral said shortly after the disappearance that Maddie’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann were the suspects. He also accused his British colleagues on the side of the parents who were heard in September 2007. However, these investigations were stopped later. The former police officer, who was released in October 2007, never turned out to be valid evidence of his accusations.

The German authorities regard Christian B. as the kidnapper and murderer of the girl. He is currently in prison because of the rape of a 72-year-old. On October 27 there is also another procedure against him because he reportedly insulted a prison employee. The court of Braunschweig had sentenced the 48-year-old to a prison sentence of six weeks.

As reported, the search in the Maddie case was proclaimed on Thursday evening. The results remained open first.
