Campaign conclusion – Tassilo Wallentin hopes for Hofburg removal

Date:

Attorney Tassilo Wallentin, the last of the seven federal presidential candidates, closed his election campaign on Saturday afternoon. At the Oktoberfest in the city of Lugner in Vienna, he gave the target for election Sunday with grilled chicken and white sausages – appropriately styled in lederhosen: “Let’s see if we can make it to the second round.”

As a candidate, he wanted to reject the political establishment, Wallentin emphasized during his last meeting. When asked about his political future after Sunday’s election in the event of a failure, he responded unobtrusively: He hadn’t thought about it after 9 October.

Cancellation of compulsory vaccination, face masks “under certain circumstances”
According to Wallentin, many political questions can be solved easily: for example, the “asylum chaos” at the borders could be solved by not accepting asylum applications from people from safe third countries. “Europe suffers from the fact that we don’t have immigration and asylum laws like the US.”

Wallentin rejected a corona vaccination requirement and he can envision a mask requirement in certain pandemic situations. He criticized the European Central Bank – because of the multiplication of the money supply, it was the main price driver besides the war in Ukraine. Austria must remain absolutely neutral in the Ukraine conflict. If you want to distance yourself from neutrality, there must be a referendum. The EU wants to change Wallentin from within. He is a proponent of a united Europe. As a lawyer, he also says that marriages can also be divorced.

Tomorrow, Sunday, things will get serious: about 6.4 million Austrians will be called upon to nominate their head of state for the next six years. The last polling stations close at 5 p.m. In addition to Wallentin, incumbents Alexander Van der Bellen, Michael Brunner (MFG), Gerald Grosz (non-party), Walter Rosenkranz (FPÖ), Heinrich Staudinger (non-party) and Dominik Wlazny (beer party).
